Dense fog blanketed a large portion of northern Illinois in subfreezing air resulting in lime ice formations on stop lights, signs, trees, foliage, and even aircraft on January 4th, 2021. Visibilities under a quarter mile were common throughout the region. All video footage recorded from portions of DeKalb, Kane, and McHenry counties in Illinois.
