Damage from a line of morning thunderstorms across Northeast Illinois on August 18, 2019. Several trees fell from extreme outflow winds, resulting in thousands without power per ComEd.

Shot Description

Shot 1 – Downed tree in eastern portions of Spring Grove, Illinois, just south of Main Street.

Shots 2-5 – Downed tree on Sayton Road in Fox Lake, Illinois, bringing down power and utility lines leaving hundreds without power.

Shot 6 – Another downed tree found on Shady Lane in Fox Lake, Illinois.

Shots 7-8 – Downed tree ripping down power lines and utility services in a residential area of Ingleside, Illinois, closest to Wilson and Rollins Roads.
