A line of severe thunderstorms pushes across the northern Texas Panhandle with winds up to 70mph reported in a few areas. A few reports of severe-criteria hail also came in, but the high winds and blinding rain were the main hazards. Motorists along US-287 in and north of Cactus faced those hazards head on as the line pushed through Sherman County, prompting severe thunderstorm warnings. Nearby Dumas clocked a 58mph wind gust.
